I’ve been busy as a bee, but that didn’t discourage me to continue my travel diary to Rome. What is Rome without visiting Vatican? Well…almost nothing because you will be highly fascinated by this city. I must emphasize that the effort to get there is huge, but worthy and you need at least half of the day for that. We queued for 2 hours to see ‘Basilica de San Pedro‘ , but I swear that the first impression was overwhelming.
Later on, we headed towards Piazza Spagna, which is one of the most famous squares in Rome, mainly thanks to the pleasant atmosphere and prestigious designer shops. Moreover, there is a monumental stairway called ‘ Spanish Stairs’ of 135 steps, where people are enjoy eating a gelato or just admiring the view and atmosphere.
Near Piazza Spagna, there is Piazza del Popolo, which is an impressively large square in Rome and its translation is People’s Square.
