We planned a one day cruise on the 2nd day of July, as the sky was bright and the sun was prepared to burn my skin. The ticket costed only 17 euros, because we got a small discount of 8 euros, which didn’t bother us at all, considering that other agencies were offering the same package at higher prices. We had the pleasure to do some sightseeing in many places such as: Tivat, Herceg Novi, Zanjice, The lady of the rocks, Kotor and back to Tivat. Mostly all of them have buildings, which date back to 15 th and 16 th centuries.
1.Tivat
At 9 am we arrived in Tivat, which is a coastal town, situated in the Bay of Kotor. From there, we immediately took the boat to Herceg Novi, in order to continue the tour.
2.Herceg Novi is a small city of 30,000 inhabitants, but the renowned old town hosts many festivals, which are a delight for tourists. Fortress Spanjola (1538) and Fortress Forte Mare (1687) are only a part of the cultural heritage of this renowned town.
3.Zanjice is a hidden beach, close to Herceg Novi and it’s surrounded by clear blue sea and lots of olive trees.
4. The lady of the rocks, which is a marvellous artificial island, surrounded by a beautiful legend local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and Child on the rock in the sea in the 15th century. For that, the sailors built a church by transporting rock by rock and many of them sank because of that.
