Vintage & Modern Mix

Hello,readers!

Let me tell you more about how essential is combining 2 fashion centuries to me. Matching any kind of brand or non-brand is one of the most appreciating things from a blogger. Don’t you think so? WHY? It saves money and it has an ace up its sleeve.

You know there are lots of useless stuff in your wardrobe, but you just bought a fancy pair of stilettos, which by the way I should add them on my must to buy list. In my case, it’s about a very special over-sized clutch, which rapidly batted my eyes in a second-hand shop. I mixed it with another beloved silk blouse, whichmakes me think of a spring sky and my new jeggings from H&M. The jeggings are a bit trashy, but they go so well together with my sneakers, by creating an urban comfy look. Then, Read more

Every time I go home, I want to collect cheerful moments, as many as possible. That’s why a photo session is the perfect occasion to enjoy the time spent with my friends.Actually, this hanging out reminded me of http://www.glamthug.com/2013/07/20/in-the-army/ , because we were more or less the same team and sun was strongly burning as in summer days.As you can see, my best friend and I had matched the outfits, but through simple telepathy.

Week 8- exhausting routine: internship, work, driving 120 km every 5 days of the week, sleep. I need a SPA day or to be spoiled.

It’s Friday and a friend is asking me to go out in the weekend, but without mentioning what he has in mind. Therefore, I refused him with no hesitation, but then he expressed his regret that I am not able to join him to a trip to Copenhagen and I had sincerely been thinking those days about going there. So, the situation made a 180 degree turn and I accepted.

It was 9 am and I was struggling to keep my eyes opened and finish the little luggage for the trip. I was packing in a crazy rush, but my friend calmed me down telling me that the other passengers are Italians, who are always late. I was finally in a eco- friendly FIAT with my friends and heading to Copenhagen. All was great, until we found out how much we have to pay, in order to pass The Great Belt Bridge : around 40 euros/ dkk. 320 for one way, so we had  thought we could swam on the way back.

It took only 3 hours to arrive in Copenhagen. We were ready to conquer the city, after having a big adventure with the driver/ the photographer, who had been driving driving without hands on the steering wheel because he had to take some photos.

Before doing that, we had to stop by the train station because my friend was going back to Italy next day and she had to get rid of her luggage. I have known how expensive is Copenhagen, because it was the third time going there, but this time it just left me with an empty wallet.  I paid 20 euros/dkk. 130 for a 24 timer ticket, which lets you use any kind of transportation and for all the zones. Luckily, the weather was so bright that we preferred to go by foot, rather than not visiting it properly and going by metro.KFC was in our way, so it worked like magic to have ‘lunch’ there. I’ve been fiending for that moment when I will be with a lot.

The idea of choosing what to wear was totally different. I wanted to be a pin-up girl in that night, but  bad luck because of  the lack of  time.  I wanted to curl my hair  and wear a chic dress, but most probably I will do it next time.  I had bought a curling iron when I was in Amsterdam and I didn’t have time to see how it works. So, I wing it and  instead of being a pin-up girl, I became a hipster girl, as my best friend claimed. Some of the students threw a party in campus, which was called ‘Chronological party’ and the dress code should have been inspired by 60’s, 70’s, 80’s.  I was wearing a lousy shirt from Primark , which was bought by mistake at an extra-size.  The story is really tricky, because it was written 38 on the hanger. Few days later, I had tried it on and I realised that it was 46, which is quite bigger.  I thought that I should get rid of it, but I knew how to handle the sad situation. I’m proud of my gaffe, because it looks so DAMN good as it is. I had a crush 2 months ago. Don’t panic! I had a crush on striped jeans before and luckily I found some on sales from Sisters Point http://www.sisters-point.com) . Unfortunately, the jeans are blue and white and this makes them a little bit harder to mix. This is the first time when I wear these jeans, the necklace ( H&M) and the shirt.Anyway,  the sneakers from New Look are already well-known and it’s useless to add something more about them. I just need to have guts and throw them in the washing machine, because they are screaming to be clean again.

I really need to increase the traffic on my blog. Therefore, I will give up on the idea of having a nap, in favour of writing a new post. This time, melancholy caught me up. I miss like hell the awesome days spent in London. I miss the traffic jam, those men suited up, who were rushing to be early on meetings and the confused tourists, who seemed to be lost in the London paradise. It goes without saying that there is a huge diversity in what style concernes, mainly because of the cultural differences. Somehow, I tend to contradict myself. I’m not sure if this is the main reason because when you’re moving into another country you will adapt to their rules, lifestyle, etc. For example, Denmark encouraged  me to have guts and to try new mixes of clothes, to layer, to mix styles, colors, materials, etc.  Anyway, it’s about all or nothing. You can either be extremely fashionable wearing a pretty dress with  high heels, which will kill you later or you can keep it simple & comfortably. It depends a lot on what you’re looking for, what’s your main purpose.

For this golden Sunday, I prepared for you to go around to Copenhagen . Don’t worry! You don’t need money or comfortable shoes to walk for miles. This doesn’t include any travel taxes, but you’re free to have a look at this gallery. You can share it if you don’t want to travel alone and you would like to be with your friends. As you can see, I had a great time there and the weather was perfect. I am glad that I don’t need to edit the photos because the contrast is good as it gets. Copenhagen totally caught my eye and if I will decide to live in Denmark, I am sure that there I want to spend the rest of my life. From arhitecture to people’s lifestyle, this city shines through my mind. I want to go there more often,  because it was a pleasure to visit and to meet my friends.

Buenos dias!I’ve slept only 3 hours but it doesn’t sit in my way to write a new post.I’ve been recently to Aarhus with my parents.Frankly speaking, I am awestruck by one thing: people from here are very different. Why?They’re extremely rich, but what I admire is that they’re very modest. It’s akward that you can still keep it simple, even if their average net salary is  2390 €.

For example, in my country it is a vital problem if you don’t have the latest trends in what technlogy, clothes and so on concern.Otherwise, without fastidiousness you can’t become popular.Yeah, I know it may sound stupid to you, but this is a true fact, which I actually hate it.From the last photos you can see  what kind of people live here and how they dress like.

Extremely proud of this shoot because I was on the other side of the road and my camera isn’t a professional one.

Big up for the haircut.

As you know leather jackets are a must have fall trend and mine has been bought from Turkey. One of my favourite color is blue(turquoise, navy blue, etc.) because it suits me and has many meanings:inspiration, sincerity, youth, confidence.I was wearing also a warm white sweater because it was very cold outside, a pair of jeans, a huge necklace and some comfortable boots.Yesterday was the last day for my parents in Denmark so they begged me to go downtown and in the park.

Funny pic…I was preparing to take off my eyeglasses or smth

As I told you before,I had great fun enjoying the last photo shoot. The photographer choose initially an abandoned factory but then he changed his mind and picked another place. He decided to meet at 7pm in order to go to railway station.I’ve started with two hours earlier, because I had to prepare two outfits and to put my make-up on.For the first look, I wore a black and white blazer, light pink blouse(Bershka), high waist jeans(Zara), black leather shoes, H&M bracelets and statement gold necklace.

 To be continued…

Sartorialist wanna be(http://www.thesartorialist.com/) but  my camera isn’t professional as I would like.I hope that Santa will be kind to me. I tried to act like a paparazzi and take some street shots. In the following photos I will present you different people(from 5 to 60 years old) and unsual styles.A remarkable thing is that men from Denmark have a great taste in style, more than women. For example,I observed that they are very careful about details: patterned socks which match perfect with shoes or belt, hat and suspenders and so on.The point is that everyone from here tries to be in trend(children, women, men).I’m pretty busy these days because I’m with my parents.I’m going with them to Aarhus(the second largest city in Denmark)tomorrow and I will skip classes. If the weather let us to visit the city I will be very grateful.

Have a nice week!

What is the best thing to do now?

Prietenii dau mereu sfaturi bune, asa ca o sa iau in considerare ce zice spiritul ei critic.(Blame it on  http://www.facebook.com/?q=#/Dana.Stefana.G  if you don’t like it). Some brainstorming ideas scrise frumusel in Word + DownTempo Tracks ar trebui sa ajute.
