The second day was a blast, because I had a day off and plenty of time for myself. I woke up early in the morning with a big appetite for a smoothie and I ended up drinking that and eating baklava and in Bazar West. Then, I went for a ‘short’ walk downtown, where I got completely lost because of the tempting sales. Read more

Denmark is known for its crazy party people and that’s why there are many festivals during the year. Aalborg Carnival is one of them or better said, THE ONE.Actually, this carnival is the second largest carnival in Scandinavia and it meets no barriers. It hosts over 100,000 people annually and more than 30,000 are wearing funny or extravagant costumes. This carnival takes place the last week of May and there’s usually a theme each year, where people are dressed accordingly and have a lot of fun. Creativity, happiness and madness are a must there.
Approximately 300 VIA students, including me went there by buying a ticket for DKK 100 from DSR. The buses left at 7 am from uni and we went back to Horsens at midnight. It was my first experience there and it’s impossible to have regrets, despite of the huge amount of dirt Read more
After having a tumultuous week with the final project, I decided to have time on my own. We already had a nice reunion in the downtwon student bar with few of my classmates and friends on Friday, but I needed a treat for the next day. So, a friend of mine met my desire and wrote me surprising message on Facebook:
Hey girls! I hope your doing fine after tomorrow, soooo today let’s make a chill day :p Let’s meet at my place around 6, make a dinner, have some wine, watch a movie, smoke some water pipe, paint our nails or whatever… So I was thinking maybe we could split something with the food, so I am gonna make some delicious hot vegetable dish, Martina said she is gonna bring a big salad, Cerasela can bring the wine.Raluca, can you take care of the meat or some fish? I have Lithuanian candies for dessert if you want. Moreover, feel free to suggest the movie , I will download it before.
I couldn’t refuse her, because I started already to search for girlish activity. It was a must to bring my camera, makeup and wine. I was late, as usual, but the host was doing a great job by preparing a special dinner together with 4 girls. The healthy and tasty smell brought me to my friend’s house, same as in the Tchibo or Nescafe old commercials. When I saw my girls booming with energy, especially Martina, I knew that a good night was just about to come. Read more
According to Wikipedia, AIESEC is an international not-for-profit organization that provides students with leadership training and internship opportunities at for-profit and not for profit organizations. There are over 86,000 members come from a variety of college majors not necessarily from an area related to economic or commercial sciences. AIESEC is offering two products: GCDP ( Global Community Development Programme) and GIP (Global Internship Programme).
I joined AIESEC in September 2013, thanks to a friend, who I can easily call my mentor, considering how much she has been inspiring me lately. She was the president for our Local Committee and her future is now brightening with ECCO. Moreover, I was surrounded by AIESEC-ers: classmates and friends. AIESEC was slowly transforming into their only air existing in the atmosphere and I don’t know how, this air begged me to try it. At that time, I wanted to be ‘more than my degree’ and that was the suitable decision. This air had something magical that I had been looking for long time ago and that’s why I fell easily under AIESEC’s spell.
1st step: Send an email with the filled application form and wait for a miracle to happen.
2nd step: Go with no stress and give your best to get the acceptance at the interview .
3rd step: Get to know the other members and work hard.
I got off the bed to defeat the strong sunlight and start another exhilarating day with a brunch in a snug place or even in the park.
The girls were bossy with me,even in the morning, and they forced me to try a really healthy ‘breakfast’ : banana and spinach smoothie, which was the perfect treat. I was aware that more food will satisfy my appetite in the upcoming hours, but that smoothie was enough for the moment. We were ready. All black, all danish style. I was the tourist, who was stopping at every 2 minutes to take photos and admire the surroundings. They were supposed to be my tourist guides, but we were all acting alike: taking photos anytime, but at least we were all heading in the right way.
We were welcomed by the Queen’s March and yeah we’ll never be royals (royals) It don’t run in our blood. Haha!
My caprice was to go to Strøget, which is the longest pedestrian shopping area in Europe. I wanted to be spellbound of how many well-dressed people are there, but not such a big luck because it was Sunday. My wallet was safe enough, thanks to the closed shops, but I couldn’t avoid to enter in Zara and guess what I’ve found. Sales, sales everywhere!
My friend was searching for the perfect little dress and I was unstoppable regarding what should I try on. I’ve finally agreed upon a pair of grey jeans, one cute black dress, one sweater, one navy jacket and other trousers, which looked horrible on me. I decided to buy only two things: the dress and the coat, after dealing with my friends’ controversy.
Week 8- exhausting routine: internship, work, driving 120 km every 5 days of the week, sleep. I need a SPA day or to be spoiled.
It’s Friday and a friend is asking me to go out in the weekend, but without mentioning what he has in mind. Therefore, I refused him with no hesitation, but then he expressed his regret that I am not able to join him to a trip to Copenhagen and I had sincerely been thinking those days about going there. So, the situation made a 180 degree turn and I accepted.
It was 9 am and I was struggling to keep my eyes opened and finish the little luggage for the trip. I was packing in a crazy rush, but my friend calmed me down telling me that the other passengers are Italians, who are always late. I was finally in a eco- friendly FIAT with my friends and heading to Copenhagen. All was great, until we found out how much we have to pay, in order to pass The Great Belt Bridge : around 40 euros/ dkk. 320 for one way, so we had thought we could swam on the way back.
It took only 3 hours to arrive in Copenhagen. We were ready to conquer the city, after having a big adventure with the driver/ the photographer, who had been driving driving without hands on the steering wheel because he had to take some photos.
Before doing that, we had to stop by the train station because my friend was going back to Italy next day and she had to get rid of her luggage. I have known how expensive is Copenhagen, because it was the third time going there, but this time it just left me with an empty wallet. I paid 20 euros/dkk. 130 for a 24 timer ticket, which lets you use any kind of transportation and for all the zones. Luckily, the weather was so bright that we preferred to go by foot, rather than not visiting it properly and going by metro.KFC was in our way, so it worked like magic to have ‘lunch’ there. I’ve been fiending for that moment when I will be with a lot.
‘Oh, such a nice quote. Wait, let me take a photo of it.Oh great: No card memory inserted. Holy crap! I left it home’… so the nightmare was about to start. My ‘dear’ HTC, I will wear you out.
Holi is a Hindu religious festival, which involves coloured powder and a lot of fun. The purpose of it is to celebrate the beginning of a new season and especially to have unforgettable memories. Just look at our faces! I could say that we were dirty colorful and we didn’t even care about that. In fact, we were searching for more and more coloured powder in order to take revenge against those who throw it in our faces. DSR had this extremely bright idea to bring for us the powder. At the beginning, you need to be wet so that, the powder will be stucked on your skin. Anyway, this substance is completely harmeless. Trust me, I’ve swallowed the powder for so many times and nothing wrong happened with me. I really have to find out from where can you get it and how much it is . I had some additional clothes and then, we went to take a shower in the university, down in the basement. It was the maddest idea that we could ever had because we didn’t have any towels or other underwear, but at least we had shower gel and especially, joyful mood.
I am really thankful to all these people, who know how to enjoy life and share their happiness with the others. All the students are a part of making this university unique and priceless.
You simply can’t refuse to not cherish each day of this amazing student life. So, YOLO ! ( only at VIA)

I’ve finally been to Vejle, or Las Vejle. I didn’t have the need to travel to other cities when I was living in my hometown, Bacau . Anyhow, Denmark and this kind of independence are changing me a lot.
This time we had the purpose of finally checking the famous waves shape bulding and go shopping for a while. I was again with my friend from Poland, who is always embracing my spontaneous and crazy ideas. We had travelled by train and we were in the middle of nowhere by the time we got there. We started to stop people on the street and ask them for directions, in order to get to those buildings and the harbour. The sun was strongly burning our skin and we were searching for places to hide. Who knew that in a couple of hours everything would turn upside down? The weather had changed, while we were hypnotized by clothes, accessories, shoes and handsome Danish men. I needed the seventh pair of shorts, but I couldn’t find something nice, so I bought instead a swimsuit, tops, pink shorts, flats, sandals, accessories and so on. My friend and I went back home at 6 o’clock.
I really enjoyed being there and hopefully I will go one more time before moving to Lyon ( HAHA, good joke ! Unfortunately, that didn’t happen because I am a coward! )
Ps: I’m starting to feel more and more wistful, but all for the best!
Yellow is for sure my colour and this party was insane. I felt like in Ibiza. What else could I add more? We didn’t have music, but we had a lot of fun thanks to playing volleyball, warming all around bonfire, jumping into the water or complaining that is too cold, but a drink more could be the solution. I think this is the easiest way to organize a party, because there’s a crowd of people, who are willing to get to know other people and enjoy being there. It was definitely a blast. I was there for more than 12 hours, starting at 3 pm and I was acting as a photographer, because as you can see I took plenty of photos ( around two thousands). I got to know tens of people, because you know how popular you can become by owning a camera and obviously, wearing a tricky top. The hardest part came in the morning when I had to wake up early, in order to go and see ‘Hangover 3’ with DSR. I was lacking of energy, so I couldn’t pay too much attention. Moreover, It isn’t the movie wasn’t good enough, comparing to my high expectations, because I was half asleep with the blanket on and trying to recover from such a mad night.
It was a party marathon this weekend. I had fun from Thursday to Sunday. I’m wondering if I would have enough energy to study this week. We painted the town red, but in different ways: Crazy Daisy on Thursday, Student bar on Friday in order to celebrate International Women’s day and last but least, my friend’s 21st birthday party. The last event succeeded the most, because it was a themed party with different characters. Let’s imagine that I was dressed up in a catwoman, even if you can’t see that from photos.
My outfit…
Okay, I love colors, but neon aren’t my beloved ones. This new style (sporty-chic , I guess it’s called ) looks really dashing to me. It’s cosy, warm and it totally breaks the rules. You thought that is a war between elegance and sport. Close enough, but fashion is all about changes. For me sporty chic is equal to ‘Dressed to kill’. It surprises you everytime! Unfortunately, I’m not wearing heels and this is why I believe that my look goes more sporty. It is chic because of the necklace, the sweater and of course ME or my attitude. I’m disappointed of my red laces, but I hope you won’t get very distracted because of them. I used layered clothing by accident. I took some quick photos at uni during the lunch break.
I’m back to my normal schedule, which implies waking up early at 6:30 am. Even if I was in a rush, I managed to get pretty for school. Unfortunately or luckily, the presence isn’t obligatory, but I wanted to see what is about with the workshop.I quit right then and there because my classmates did the same thing. As I was passing by the mall, I decided to look around the shops.
Bad decisions makes…good shopping! My mom won’t be very proud of me, but some clothes don’t deserve to stay on the shop’s shelf. I’ve just sworn that it is my last shopping session. I’m afraid that I can’t keep my word because I received a Fidelity Card, which is obviously very Read more
