As you might know I moved to Zürich for 3 months AT LEAST, that’s why I included on my Instagram profile ‘New in Zurich’.

         Long story short WHY

  • The power of love dragged me here
  • I am seeking job opportunities or planning to apply for a Master, so we can get rid of this LDR (~3 years was enough). If the one who is reading this is looking for an employee, I am THE ONE!
  • When you graduate in Denmark, the government is providing the graduates with unemployment benefits for maximum 2 years, when looking for a job in Denmark or maximum 3 months in other European country, so I took this chance.
  • I wanted to experience life in a bigger city, including higher fees along with a more exciting lifestyle

I don’t see what there is not to love about this city, especially when you are ‘ New in Zürich’ so I will specify few reasons to love this Zurich:
1. One of the most international city. The largest group of foreigners is from Germany ( 82 5467) , followed by Italy, Portugal, Serbia, Turkey, Kosovo, Austria and Spain (11 457).

2. It is the biggest city in Switzerland, though not too big but the right walking-distance city.

3. Many events. There is always something happening. Rare is the weekend without a festival, event or local holiday.

4. Public transportation is well organised.  It’s mind blowing in a good way to get around the city as the busses and trams have their own line.

5. The cars are WOW.  If you are a fan, just follow them on Instagram.

7. Cultural Highlights. Whether the National Museum, Kunsthaus Zürich, Cabaret Voltaire or the famous Zurich Opera House, or many exhibitions the city on the Limmat offers first-class cultural events.

8. You are surrounded by water. During the nicest season of visiting Zurich, the lake transfers to a melting pot of all social and sportive activities.

Thinking about BEP’s song she answered : ‘Ok, meet me halfway.’

For days and nights, they tried to find the dream destination, but none seemed to match their view.

It was difficult to decide whether they should go to  a big noisy city or a chilly sunny one.The questions were : ‘ To visit?’ or ‘To relax?’. What can we choose?

‘What do you think about Venice, Rome or Paris? Yeah, Italy or Spain could be a great idea. The food is incredibly delicious, but…’ Read more

Stari Grad or for a better understanding, the old town in Budva is situated on a little island that was linked to the land by a sandbar and in time turned into a peninsula. It is surrounded by a medieval fortification system with city gates, defence walls and towers. The Old Town consists of narrow streets and alleys and squares with precious monuments of different Mediterranean cultures that have an influence on this town.During the night, especially on weekends, the old town is growing young again due to the bustle of the whole city. Live or lounge music, karaoke or people dancing salsa are some of the examples that keep alive the old town.  You have diversity and you can do whatever you want, as long as you have money and good mood.  You can’t miss eating seafood, which has an incredible taste and acceptable price or some of their speciality ( e.g. mixed seafood with white sauce). Nevertheless, people are charming by wearing elegant clothes and suitable perfumes. I didn’t know what to expect from this old town, so I was wearing something casual.

On waking, feeling relaxed I thought about studying. Then, Margie tempted me by saying:’Go and enjoy the sunshine in London, not here.It looks good this morning’.By 1 pm the weather had changed for the worst: cold, extremely cold, windy and English rain. Not everything went the way I planned because I forgot to touch in my Oyster card and when I realised, the train had gone.So I had to wait in the cold weather for more 30 minutes.I went to Waterloo East because I wanted to go to London Eye, but then I met an amazing group of free runners. I was talking on the phone to my friend, asking for advice while a group of teenagers teased me.I had to hang up because they were recording a video with me.I felt extremely dizzy because they were gathering around me and nobody came to rescue me.

I also thought that this would be a fortunate opportunity to see London life differently. Then I asked them if I can join them. After walking along for 5 minutes, I discovered that there was a boy from Romania. It’s odd to me that when I meet Romanian abroad I find myself  speaking to them in english. After that I had the bright idea to ask him from which city he came from and coincidently it’s the same as me.I was astonished by Read more
