I can finally  say that ‘this city never sleeps’. I went to a concert on Saturday and it was a blast. There were many bands singing, but also some dancers. The main artists that came were Muri & Mario ( This song is very popular in Denmark) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjvfER4StSY ) and Kristoffer Rahbek ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3F2Jc6qQTCA ) . People came especially for them, but also to sustain their friends who were on the stage. I appreciated the simplicity of how this event was organised. Moreover, people were comfortably dressed and warm enough to face the cool air.  During the show, a friend of mine was making a fachiri show ( playing with fire). Many people were breathless, because it’s dangerous to do that and you need to practice hard. Moreover, it was very nice to see everyone dancing on the stage at the end of Muri & Mario’s performing. They really know how to entertain the crowd.

I will upload later some photos with me on a new post. Stay tuned  and enjoy the last hours of Sunday 🙂

I’m launching a new initiative, which consists in quick snaps. I will capture special moments and things or people that I admire. Unluckily, all these will be taken with my poor quality phone, but I will get a new one as soon as possible.Once a week I will update new photos, so stay tuned. This could be a great opportunity to be in touch with what’s going on in Horsens.

DSC_0885 copyGood evening, ladies and gentlemen!  I will start by saying that I got a terrible cold and I’m not in the best mood. I had a nap in this afternoon, because this ilness makes me feel very weak and I need energy to study. I had a sunny and peaceful day at school, because this semester is almost over. That’s why my outfit doesn’t require too much complication: almost all denim and blue. My t-shirt might be a matter for discussion because it has printed crosses, Read more

First of all,  I would like to wish you Happy Easter and… Happy Men’s Day! Anyway, I’m  proud to be an orthodox christian, so therefore I prepared with my mom some traditional food. Unfortunately, I forgot to paint the eggs, which is one of the most important things for my tradition. No worries or regrets, because   I woke up at 7:30, due to a long and relaxing ‘nap’ of 13 hours.  So, now I’m spying the eggs until they are ready to be boiled and painted with red color. I will come back later with some photos.

I had a chill Saturday at the harbour. The forecast showed 19 degrees and I couldn’t resist staying home for the entire day. So, I had a bright idea to go to the harbour and have a picnic. I won’t reveal how it worked because I limited myself to one sandwich, some bottles of Breezer and fruits. Sun was a bit cruel , like it wanted to revenge on us because its sun rays were ceaselessly appearing and disappearing. There’s no much left to say regarding my… outfit. It’s already too much to call it like this, because I didn’t choose it carefully. I took a look inside my wardrobe and then I went with the flow. I’m sure that I will be sitting and laughing in front of the computer by a lapse of time because of my ‘inspired’ outfit.

PS: Thanks to all for the tremendous success of my last post about the International Day ( almost 800 views) .

Sun, food, friends, fun – that’s all about International Day, which was organised today at VIA. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to help my colleagues with cooking , but they prepared the most delicious food: Sarmale, Meatballs with onion, Filled Eggs and Filled Plums. For sure, this was another proof that Romanian food makes happy your tummy. Unluckily, we ran out of food in maximum 30 minutes because a lot of people were queing to get to know the Romanian taste. As you can see, I was wearing a special outfit: traditional costume from Romania and I felt really proud of it. Beside this event, my week was amazing and full of new experiences. I’m talking about my first work, which was successfully accomplished, even if I had to stand up for 7 hours. Moreover, my parents came here for a week, due to Easter Holiday and they are having a wonderful time.

‘I scream ICE-CREAM’ while I’m sitting at my desk and chasing the sun. I could have sworn from the beginning of the morning that sun won’t show up today, but look it up and it’s still shining outside.  That’s wonderful, because I had thought that Wednesday provided me with enough ‘amount’ of sun for the next months.  Wednesday, 17 of April and 17 degrees. With such a good weather, I  got easily ‘over the hump’  by going to school and then being spoiled in the park. The sun plays a huge role in enjoying my day. It gladden my heart by letting me to wear light clothes. I was wearing a grey skirt, which was bought last summer. Its color expressed eternal boredom and even agedness. Actually, one of my friends tried to mock me by saying that my skirt looks similar to his grandmother’s clothes. What could I say?  He should be proud of his grandmother for being on trend. Moreover, on the bike= on the rack, when it comes to wear a skirt. Read more

For this golden Sunday, I prepared for you to go around to Copenhagen . Don’t worry! You don’t need money or comfortable shoes to walk for miles. This doesn’t include any travel taxes, but you’re free to have a look at this gallery. You can share it if you don’t want to travel alone and you would like to be with your friends. As you can see, I had a great time there and the weather was perfect. I am glad that I don’t need to edit the photos because the contrast is good as it gets. Copenhagen totally caught my eye and if I will decide to live in Denmark, I am sure that there I want to spend the rest of my life. From arhitecture to people’s lifestyle, this city shines through my mind. I want to go there more often,  because it was a pleasure to visit and to meet my friends.

It was a tough day. I spent the day backing and forthing from home to downtown. At least, the weather was the best I had ever seen so far. The day worked like a charm. I took part into a fashion bargain from 10 to 14. Even though I didn’t make much money, I enjoyed spending time there and getting to know a lot of people. Actually, the idea of selling your personal stuff is really smart. I would like to see something like this in Romania, though, but it’s quite impossible. My table was empty because it’s hard to give up on the clothes you love the most. Notwithstanding, you want and need the new spring collection or whatever so, you need to get rid of the old-fashioned ones. I had to pay for the table, because as you know, if you want to earn some money, you will have to invest.

Hower, the second part of my day was extremely cheerful. I hung out with my girls. We had been searching for a cosy, cheap place, where we can warm our hands and savour every mouthful of coffee. So, we went at Corfitz. By the time we got there, we discovered that we were hungry because we had been taking pictures before. I could feel the full of the joys of spring this weekend and I hope that u chilled out with friends.

As I woke up, I refused to believe that Monday can give me a hard time. Therefore, I decided  to make the best of things. I was in my element, ready to achieve new goals and to rise and shine. I felt lucky because I’ve started classes at 10:15, which is reasonable for the beginning of the week. It was all clear to me: nothing can mess up my day! Not even coffee spilled over me. After Business Law classes, where I got really involved, I had a gripping discussion about going abroad. Yeah, I’m talking about being an Erasmus student. What can I say? I was all ears and absolutely hypnotized by the presentation. I’m not afraid of unknown, I’m actually excited for it. I will set out my reasons for applying as an erasmus student.

1. Challenge!!! For me it’s already a challenge to study in Denmark, but if I can ‘expand’ it, why not?! I am already an international student, but I want MORE.

2.Cultural experience. It’s awesome to get to know the lifestyle of other countries.

3. WHY NOT? Don’t be coward! You have many options . Only once in your life you have this chance. What are you waiting for? For example, I would like to study in Sweden, USA, France, or Germany ( my mom’s desire). I want a country with warm weather, but the most important thing is the economy.

4. Your future boss will definitely appreciate the fact that you have abroad experience. Just imagine how your CV is going to look like, beside your colleagues.

5.Double diploma-special cases. You can choose to study a different programme than the one you’re currently following.

6. You can apply for a scolarship. The received money depends on the chosen country.

7. Last, but not least FUUUUN, friends and great photos.

The above things turn me on. I hope I have to guts to leave everything behind and face this challenge. It’s hard because I should move and change my living place. Moreover, it’s difficult because you get to know many people so well and after 5 months you may never see them again in your life. Anyway, my mom told me to not give up, to enjoy every moment and pursue my dreams.

If you were worried about how I arrived in G.B I would say that it was fine, even if I had some adventures.I will tell you more about it later.Yeah I know it’s already Wednesday, but above all things it was weekend.I went to Aarhus with some friends because they know that there is worthy nightlife.

Firstly, we went to campus, where was a party. It was supposed to be a fabulous party as it was written on the ticket but  it turned out to be a messy one and a lot of strangers.Shortly afterwards, we decided to go downtown to a club.I was really excited to go there. When we had go inside,I remembered that I forgot my documents in the car, which was parked in the campus.Completely out of the blue, things took a turn for the worse. Confidence isn’t for sale and as my mom says: ‘You have to believe in yourself that you are smart, beautiful and capable’.

However, this is Thursday’s look for Crazy Daisy night.I was wearing a denim blouse, leather olive green skirt, brown leggings and warm boots. There are many ways to mix & match a denim blouse, but I think it’s too common to wear it with jeans, so I tried to mix it with this skirt.Hope you like it!
