After having a challenging student life in Denmark for 4 years, I want to share with you what makes me an internationally minded person.
Being internationally minded is not something you can learn in lessons, it is an attitude, a way of thinking and being, of accepting other ways of thinking, cultures and doing are equally as valid as our own.

Earthquake & flowers

DSC_0885 copyGood evening, ladies and gentlemen!  I will start by saying that I got a terrible cold and I’m not in the best mood. I had a nap in this afternoon, because this ilness makes me feel very weak and I need energy to study. I had a sunny and peaceful day at school, because this semester is almost over. That’s why my outfit doesn’t require too much complication: almost all denim and blue. My t-shirt might be a matter for discussion because it has printed crosses, Read more

Neon Colorway

First of all,  I would like to wish you Happy Easter and… Happy Men’s Day! Anyway, I’m  proud to be an orthodox christian, so therefore I prepared with my mom some traditional food. Unfortunately, I forgot to paint the eggs, which is one of the most important things for my tradition. No worries or regrets, because   I woke up at 7:30, due to a long and relaxing ‘nap’ of 13 hours.  So, now I’m spying the eggs until they are ready to be boiled and painted with red color. I will come back later with some photos.

I had a chill Saturday at the harbour. The forecast showed 19 degrees and I couldn’t resist staying home for the entire day. So, I had a bright idea to go to the harbour and have a picnic. I won’t reveal how it worked because I limited myself to one sandwich, some bottles of Breezer and fruits. Sun was a bit cruel , like it wanted to revenge on us because its sun rays were ceaselessly appearing and disappearing. There’s no much left to say regarding my… outfit. It’s already too much to call it like this, because I didn’t choose it carefully. I took a look inside my wardrobe and then I went with the flow. I’m sure that I will be sitting and laughing in front of the computer by a lapse of time because of my ‘inspired’ outfit.

PS: Thanks to all for the tremendous success of my last post about the International Day ( almost 800 views) .

International Day

Sun, food, friends, fun – that’s all about International Day, which was organised today at VIA. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to help my colleagues with cooking , but they prepared the most delicious food: Sarmale, Meatballs with onion, Filled Eggs and Filled Plums. For sure, this was another proof that Romanian food makes happy your tummy. Unluckily, we ran out of food in maximum 30 minutes because a lot of people were queing to get to know the Romanian taste. As you can see, I was wearing a special outfit: traditional costume from Romania and I felt really proud of it. Beside this event, my week was amazing and full of new experiences. I’m talking about my first work, which was successfully accomplished, even if I had to stand up for 7 hours. Moreover, my parents came here for a week, due to Easter Holiday and they are having a wonderful time.

‘I scream ICE-CREAM’ while I’m sitting at my desk and chasing the sun. I could have sworn from the beginning of the morning that sun won’t show up today, but look it up and it’s still shining outside.  That’s wonderful, because I had thought that Wednesday provided me with enough ‘amount’ of sun for the next months.  Wednesday, 17 of April and 17 degrees. With such a good weather, I  got easily ‘over the hump’  by going to school and then being spoiled in the park. The sun plays a huge role in enjoying my day. It gladden my heart by letting me to wear light clothes. I was wearing a grey skirt, which was bought last summer. Its color expressed eternal boredom and even agedness. Actually, one of my friends tried to mock me by saying that my skirt looks similar to his grandmother’s clothes. What could I say?  He should be proud of his grandmother for being on trend. Moreover, on the bike= on the rack, when it comes to wear a skirt. Read more

Monday requires movement and a positive attitude towards the rest of the week.  My Monday didn’t begin like that in spite of the fact that I should have been at school. At least, I’ve had the intention of going to classes, but then I realised it isn’t worthy to go 4,5 km for 2 hours. A friend asked to go to beach or at least at the harbour because it’s closer,  but I refused her. Right after, she had sent me a message describing how beautiful it is there. Then, other friends asked to join them to the beach. This time I couldn’t miss the chance and I accept and I don’t regret it. Now that I know where is the sea, I will go more often. It was a downhill day, but it was AWESOME!

I’m in love with narrow streets, where you can get lost and take awesome photos. I’m suppose that a street like that, has an amazing history with many memories. It’s noisy, crowded and there are many people, who are rushing to be on time at work either you can find confused tourists, who are trying to find their way back, as I usually am. At the beginning of the day, we had decided to go to Waterloopleinmarkt, Museumplein, where you can find the Amsterdam letters and Rijksmuseum and Vondel Park . Of course, that we couldn’t face the cold weather , so we snugged  in an Italian restaurant. Then, the group had to divide, but I took on the off chance with my friend a tram to an unknown destination. We just wanted to warm our hands. Read more

Amsterdam nights

The cheapest way to get to know Amsterdam is buying a 24 h ticket for 7,50 euros or visit it on foot because it’s not such a big deal. Anyway, with that ticket you can use all the  available means of transport, but the most common is the tram. We went out on Wednesday night for a pub crawl, which was a blast. Before going to Social Pub Chicago, we wanted to go in a place, where bands are playing  live music. We founded out that we have to pay there, so we easily quit that idea. We stopped at Social Pub Chicago, due to the cold weather. At the beginning, the atmosphere was annoyingly relaxing and I was a bit disappointed. ‘I had prepared for a crazy night’ my mind kept telling me. After 2 hours,  a good damn Dj had come and the madness started. It was a crowd pleaser, because the music was perfect for my taste: Rnb, Hip-Hop, Rap and not to mention about the cool people. On Thursday, we went at Coco’s, where it was a theme party: beach.I tried for  the second time to make a video. I’ve done my best and I’m quite excited about it.

Hope you like it!

2nd day

I set apart Wednesday for shopping. Before going there, I had met two girls, who told me that Primark is a few kilometres away from Amsterdam. When all was said  and done,  I found a antiquarian and I advised my friend to buy an english book because I will be reading on the way back home. We went inside in order to discover more of that universe and we found a meek and gentle old man, who was pleased to help us. I bought also a book, but more because he was very nice. Then, I asked him about something specific in Amsterdam, which could amaze me. He told me to visit Rijksmuseum, Jordaan and Waterlooplein. He gave us a very useful map, which unfortunately we didn ‘t use it because we had been too stubborn and we followed our plans of going to shopping in Zaandam. Zaandam is a city very close to Amsterdam and the return ticket costed us 5,30 Euro, which was available for 24 hours.

Amsterdam Madness

I can’t even imagine something more exciting than travelling.Oh, or maybe extreme sports can replace it, but still you have more enthusiasm from travelling. I can’t describe the feeling when you find new place, get to know other culture, get lost or die trying and meet new people. I can’t describe it because it’s too complex and  I’m in a hurry. I have just finished to unpack, but now I must prepare other clothes and fill another suitcase. I’m leaving to Copenhagen tomorrow for a photo shoot. I am going to meet some friends and visit the surroundings. Amsterdam was AWESOMEEEE, but I can’t cheat on London,Paris and Prague.

I have so many great stories, but so less time and so much to do. That’s it.I’m done with the photos from the first day. I want to watch Pretty little liars, take a shower and sleep.

St.Patrick’s day

Irish music on the background, students wearing green and good humour. These words describe the best yesterday’s atmosphere in student bar.The party was a blast. I am not sure that I can call it ‘party’ , because unfortunately no one was dancing .

Saint Patrick’s day is celebrated on 17 th through food, drink and all things green.More about St.Patrick’s Day here:’s-Day I .I need to quieten down, because  there are only 2 days left until my trip to Amsterdam.

Have a wonderful weekend…even if cold weather is spreading again all over the world.

Perfect weekend!

It was a party marathon this weekend. I had fun from Thursday to Sunday. I’m wondering if I would have enough energy to study this week. We painted the town red, but in different ways: Crazy Daisy on Thursday, Student bar on Friday in order to celebrate International Women’s day and last but least, my friend’s 21st birthday party. The last event succeeded the most, because it was a themed party with different characters. Let’s imagine that I was dressed up in a catwoman, even if you can’t see that from photos.

Burgundy Saturday

It was a tough day. I spent the day backing and forthing from home to downtown. At least, the weather was the best I had ever seen so far. The day worked like a charm. I took part into a fashion bargain from 10 to 14. Even though I didn’t make much money, I enjoyed spending time there and getting to know a lot of people. Actually, the idea of selling your personal stuff is really smart. I would like to see something like this in Romania, though, but it’s quite impossible. My table was empty because it’s hard to give up on the clothes you love the most. Notwithstanding, you want and need the new spring collection or whatever so, you need to get rid of the old-fashioned ones. I had to pay for the table, because as you know, if you want to earn some money, you will have to invest.

Hower, the second part of my day was extremely cheerful. I hung out with my girls. We had been searching for a cosy, cheap place, where we can warm our hands and savour every mouthful of coffee. So, we went at Corfitz. By the time we got there, we discovered that we were hungry because we had been taking pictures before. I could feel the full of the joys of spring this weekend and I hope that u chilled out with friends.
